Why Goats rule as the most valuable creatures in the world
It goes without saying that Goats are the most important animals in
the world – yet the most underappreciated. What other plant or
animal can claim all these characteristics:
-
Work
efficiently without regard to who receives credit. Goats
can sustain themselves by living off the land – no special care
is required. If Mother Teresa were an animal....
-
There
are more Goats in the world than cows…Goats just quietly work
away without a lot of celebrity. Nothing against cows
(they're some of our best friends).
-
A strong backbone: Goats are used as pack animals
(pound for pound they can carry more than a horse or mule and
climb steeper cliffs than a llama). And they leave a
smaller footprint. Goats are like super models on
steroids.
-
Determined. Goats are known to butt heads, if necessary, to get
where they’re going. And they don’t care if they’re made the
“scapegoat” when their aim is true.
-
Remain
versatile and be willing to adapt. Goat milk is more nutritional
than cow's milk. Goats provide the warmth of cashmere wool.
Goats often act as surrogate mothers for sheep. And they are
fire-prevention specialists who graze on fire-prone hillsides
where humans fear to tread.
-
Work as
a team. Goats stay naturally focused as a herd with each looking
out for the others. When they sleep, they do so in a circle to
stand guard against predators.
-
And they’re friendly. Why else are baby Goats the
most common petting zoo animal?
So, there you have it. The perfect case for making Goats the
official mascot for all that's good in the world.
If you resemble the characteristics above, then
you're probably a Goat.
